Art Therapy Training
Are you thinking of becoming an art psychotherapist or have just started your art therapy training and you’re looking for an art therapist for your personal therapy?
Do you have unanswered questions and would love to hear what life’s like for a qualified art therapist?
I offer a free 30 minute face to face chat to art therapy trainees looking for a therapist and anyone thinking of embarking on an Art Psychotherapy Masters course.
Choosing the right therapist is extremely important to your personal therapy journey. I have experience of supporting students through their Art Psychotherapy Masters Postgraduate training from a variety of universities, including Sheffield Hallam University and the apprenticeship. I also offer a reduced session rate to Art Therapy trainees. Please do have a look at my About Me page to see if you’d like to work together and get in touch.
If you’re thinking of applying for the training, we can discuss pre-training experience, what the Masters course requires, your experience, curiosity about the employment market and any other questions you may have.
The British Association of Art Therapists also have a great page on ‘How to become an art therapist’ here.
I still remember the moment I pressed ‘send’ on my Masters application and thinking ‘Oh gosh, what am I doing? Will it all pay off and can I even do this?’.
I can honestly say that since qualifying I’ve never looked back. So yes I’m biased towards art therapy but I’m more than happy to sit down with you and speak openly and honestly in response to any questions you may have about undertaking art therapy with me as part of your training.
Undertaking art therapy with me as a course requirement means I’m here to help you understand your biases and past history, learn about yourself, work with you to explore the future you and support you through your journey into becoming an art psychotherapist, a path I feel is a truly enriching and rewarding career.
Come and have a nosey, say hello and connect. The networking can never start too soon!
